The Rye womenís basketball team played three tough games this week coming off of their first victory.
On Tuesday the 10th, Rye visited the Colorado Springs Christian School Lions. The Bolts played a solid game, losing 50-37. Rye was led by big games from seniors Laura Ambler and Natalie Phillips. Phillips scored 14 points and grabbed four rebounds. Ambler dropped 12 and had a whopping six steals!
Rye then travelled to Manitou Springs to play the Mustangs. The Bolts again had a tough start, down by 20 points at halftime. Rye came out and didnít give up, playing much better in the second half. Rye ended up losing the game 52-24. Again Ambler had a good game, scoring 14 points on 7 of 12 shooting. Ambler added five rebounds and five steals. Phillips again played well scoring six points, grabbing two rebounds and three steals.
