The Rye Menís Basketball Team had a tough week of basketball.
On Tuesday the 31st Rye visited a top team in Alamosa, who had won twelve consecutive games entering the game against Rye. The Bolts were immediately in trouble, finding themselves down 20-10 at the end of the first quarter. Alamosa ended up keeping the pressure on, pulling off a 64-45 win. The Bolts leading scorer was senior guard Brandon Johnson who scored twelve points. Senior Kevin Bailey also added eleven points. Ryan Brubacher of Alamosa scored 30 in the rout.
The Bolts then paid visit to the Sanford Indians. Rye kept it close in a defensive game up to the fourth quarter. Sanford then pulled away, beating Rye 47 to 33. Senior Kevin Bailey scored twelve points in the game.
