The Chamber meeting of February 15, 2017 took place with a moment of prayer by Pastor James Naron and the approval of the agenda and minutes. James Naron asked about the bylaws with respect to dollar amounts that would or would not require member approval to pay. Additionally, there was a voting in of three new members. Naron also submitted the February Finance Report due to Mike Davis' absence.
President Marcy Freeburg was able to obtain and submit the business registry documents to the state but ended up paying a minimal fine of $100.00 because they were not filed in previous years. She also stated that, as yet, the 401(c) documents have not been located. Which is another cleanup task needing to be done within the next 30 days.
Dennis Maroney reported on the annual chamber fishing derby, advising that fish will be stocked in the lake prior to April 22. He also asked for member volunteers to take registrations the morning of the Fishing Derby (April 22nd, 2017).
