Rye baseball faced their toughest games of the season this week.
The Bolts opened up the week against the Florence Huskies. Payton Camper struggled a bit, pitching early as the Florence Huskies scored two in the top of the first. The Bolts responded and took a commanding 6-3 lead at the end of three innings. The Huskies then scored four runs in the top of the fourth against Bryce Benz. Rye then stormed back and won the game 13-7, outscoring the Huskies 7-0 in the final three innings. Senior Garry Ramsay had a great game, breaking out of a slump and hitting 2-4 with three runs batted in. Senior Kevin Bailey was 3-5 in the rout, scoring two runs and stealing three bases. Camper, in addition to pitching drove in two runs.
