President Trump, during his campaign, used "drain the swamp" as part of his campaign rhetoric. I didn't start out being a fan of the president, but events, beyond my control, made him the only sensible alternative to Hillary. Once the results were in on November 8, a 'swamp alert' went out and the reptilian establishment went on the offense. Since Inauguration Day, the president has hit the ground running; he is attempting to get work accomplished in a very toxic environment; he has met with opposition from both parties, special interest groups, and media at every turn. President Trump has made mistakes to be sure (stop tweeting!), and the reptiles have shown no quarter. Notwithstanding the daily noise and harassment, some progress has been made undoing the "pen and phone" damage done by his predecessor: the pipelines are underway; the EPA can now stop worrying about our mud puddles and start worrying about toxic drinking water, e.g., Flint Michigan; and a general deregulation policy has been established to unshackle our economy. A couple of bumps in the road, immigration restraints and Obamacare repeal, were enlightening.
