The Pueblo City Fire Department is concerned about the large number of structure fires so far this year. According to Fire Chief Shawn Shelton the department has responded to about 40 structure fires this year, two to three times the normal rate. Shelton said part of the concern is that the department sees no particular pattern.

The North Shore Marina has reopened after a windstorm caused $2.3 million in damage at the Lake Pueblo facility. The wind storm occurred on March 24. The South Marina also had damage but stayed open following the storm.
