On April 10 at about 9:30 a.m. Deputy Jason Hanratty responded to a local business in regard to a fraud involving stolen credit cards. Upon arrival Deputy Hanratty spoke with the manager of the local business who told him product had been purchased from the company twice involving a stolen credit card.
The first purchase took place in February from a person in New Jersey, the second in March from a person in Delaware. Both purchases were made on-line.
The company sent the product and was then notified the purchases were being disputed because the cards had been stolen. The local business was filing the report to assist with the investigation.
While the information was being collected two separate people called and wanted the product to be turned on. The product purchased needs a software update to be used. Both callers were told the product had been purchased with a stolen credit card and asked they return it to the company.
