Jason Ortiz's out at third base was not enough to stop Manitou Springs on Tuesday, April 11. Rye was ahead 3-2 in the 3rd inning, but the Mustangs brought in 5 runs in the 4th inning leaving the T-Bolts with a 6-9 loss by the end of the 7th.

Rye baseball had a very tough week of baseball. As they played a doubleheader against the Lamar Savages on Saturday the 16th.

Game one of the doubleheader got off to a good start, as the Bolts pushed across two runs in the top of the first. Rye had their ace on the bump in Brandon Johnson (2.14 ERA). Johnson struggled with control walking six. Johnson would end up allowing eight runs (but only three earned) in four innings of work. Johnson did strike out seven. Rye found themselves down 8-3 entering the bottom of the fifth, and Austin Gookin took the mound. Gookin had a tough day, allowing five runs while only retiring one batter. The Bolts would end up losing 13-3 in five innings. Rye only got three hits against Colton Eberhardt. Bailey Benz had a double, and Johnson stole two bags. Garry Ramsay also had a hit and scored a run for the Bolts.
