This photo shows a small collage of Nette's amazing work. The two long gourds that are decorated so exquisitely by Nette are very unique/the longest one is called a ‘Thunder Gourd'! She puts a metal wire through it, some plastic and a tiny, tiny hole—I don't know if it is in that sequence but the sound it makes is sooo comforting (like far off thunder) I want one!!

Nette, is a very artistic lady who moved to Rye in November of 2013. She was very much in need of a quiet, tranquil atmosphere to soothe her soul and body, also to heal from bouts of depression after going through some hurtful, unplanned, life changing events that had occurred in her life. Two of the most devastating ordeals in her life were the sudden death of her sister, Nita, and her sister’s baby by the hand of her sister, Nita’s, husband. The other was constant pain (RSDS), and a brain injury caused from serious injuries suffered when a man driving 80 miles an hour (in a residential neighborhood trying to outrun a police car) hit the car she was driving on the driver's side. She thanks God that her baby daughter, strapped in a car seat in the middle of the back seat received only minor injuries!

Nette had graduated from South High School and started college in Pueblo; she then went on to graduate from college in Denver where she studied Graphic Design, Photography and Fine Arts. While attending college Nette worked at Apple Computer part time, after graduating she was hired to work full time.
