Seniors Kylie Baudino and Emma Romine had five kills each as the Lady Thunderbolt volleyball team moved their record to 4-0 with a straight set victory over Fountain Valley on their home turf. The Thunderbolts have lost a single set in their early outings this season. Rachel Shaffer had six aces from the service line in the victory and Madison Gookin logged three blocks. Jami Ortiz had 10 assists in the victory. The match was last Saturday.

On the last day of August Rye defeated Vanguard in three straight sets on the home court. Baudino had six kills and four aces in the victory and Hannah Ambler, a junior, had four blocks in the victory.

First year Coach Jamie Donlon likes the progress her team is making so far. “The girls are adjusting well to the new offense we installed,” she said. “We have gone to a three hitter offense and are making sure we use everyone. We are doing well with it so far.”
