Jacob Garner broke the 19 minute barrier at the Joe Vigil Open cross country meet held in Alamosa last Saturday. Garner finished 90th with a time of 18:53.99 in a field of 229 male runners.

For the Lady Tís Raechel Lopez finished 75th in a field of 219 female runners in her season best time of 22:432.82. Makayla Rodriquez finished 99th in a time of 23:35.40. Rye placed 16th of the 17 schools in the ladies division. The majority of the schools were larger than Rye.

Zach Ruiz finished 158th in the menís competition with a time of 20:51.09. Ethan Gerig finished 160th in a time of 20:53.50. The menís team finished 18th of 19 teams.
