When given the opportunity Rye’s cross-country team will step up. Most of the T-Bolts young runners bettered their time during the second annual Rye invitational at the HollyDot Golf Course on Sept. 26. Teams are running tough against much bigger schools, Head Coach T.J. Blackhurst stated.

Rye’s girls ran against 6 other schools and they are the “most talented girl’s team ever,” said Blackjurst. The Lady T-Bolts first runner to come in was freshman Raechel Lopez who bested her time from the Pueblo Central Invite at the Rye Invitational by over a minute with a time of 22:01. The other runners were: Lindsey Muniz -24:54.00; Lauren Maroney -25:34.00; Emily Peterson - 26:15.00; Rebecca Lopez -29:23.00.
