Greenhorn Valley News – October 22, 1999 50cents per copy - 16 pages Black and White

The lead story on the front page was written by Phyllis Waymire and titled “High School Labs… Underfunded? Underequipped? The lead paragraph: “Frustration, substitution, resourcefulness. These words kept cropping up in the conversations of District 70’s science teachers when they discussed their laboratories.

The shoot em’ up days of the 1800’s will be revisited at the Rye Playhouse when Gerry Clay Allison and his sidekick, David Smith, present “Life and Death of a Gunfighter.” The play, tentatively set for November 1(1999) at 7:00 p.m., centers around a New Mexican reporter interviewing Pete Montana about the life and death of a notorious cattleman and gunfighter, Clay Allison.

A.M. Wheeler of Pueblo was the lucky winner on the Margaret doll raffled by the Greenhorn Valley Players during their summer season.
