A positive attitude should earmark the second season for Mens Rye High School Head Basketball Coach Kevin Maroney. Other things will change for the fourth head coach in RHS Mens Basketball history, but for Maroney none of those things will be more important than keeping the focus on his young charges, enjoying the time with them, solving problems and injuries as a team and moving ahead with the right frame of mind.

Now dont get me wrong, says Maroney. I want to win, I just have an increased perspective of what I am trying to do. This is, and should be, fun. I have a unique opportunity to spend time with some of the best students, best kids in the school. These guys can keep you young.

Staying young along with Maroney this year will be C team coach T.J. Blackhurst, who began the journey with Maroney last year. In addition, Shane Hayden will join the team as the Head JV Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach. Hayden played at Otero Junior College and BYU Hawaii.
