On December 11 at about 7:00 a.m. Deputy Melinda Gifford was dispatched to a Colorado City address in reference to an auto theft.
The reporting party indicated their 2012 Dodge Ram Crew Cab 2500 was missing from their drive-way. They had last seen the vehicle at around 9:00 p.m. the night before. The vehicle had been unlocked with the keys inside.
In addition to the vehicle there were tools, Carhart coveralls, a Carhart jacket, a welder mask, tire chains and a hard hat in the vehicle. The vehicle was valued at $30,000 and the other items at about $500. There was also a firearm and some extra ammunition in the vehicle.
Two other vehicles, also unlocked, had been rummaged through but nothing appeared to be missing.
