The yearly Senior Christmas Luncheon, prepared and sponsored by the Faith Circle Ladies of the Rye Home United Methodist Church, served 94 of the Senior Citizens living in the Greenhorn Valley and surrounding areas.

The food was delicious: ham and turkey baked to perfection, a cooked carrot dish, potato casserole, grape salad, rolls and decorated, home-baked cookies were served for dessert.

A wonderful reason to get together with old friends and new friends, to share a meal and catch up on the year's happenings. Anne Decker, who is 102 years old and has lived in Rye most of her life, attended again this year with some of her family.

Highlights of the luncheon included the help of ten Craver Middle School students to serve. After the meal they cleared the tables and, last but certainly not least, they also did the dishes..
