During this last week the Rye High School, Boys Basketball Team played three games. The team worked extremely hard pushing past the hardest week of the season, with only having a few days of practice to compete against some of the highest ranked teams in the state.

The first game the Rye Boys played was against the Colorado Springs Christian School Lions, on Tuesday, January 9th. The final score was 63-59 ending with an upsetting loss for the Thunderbolts. Zach Richardson led the scoring with 19 points, Chris Colbert following with 12 points, and Stephen Monack following with 6 points. They had a total of 9 assists with Richardson leading with 4, Jacob Valdez with 2, and Colbert with 2. The team collected 23 rebounds, with Colbert leading with 7, and Monack following with 6. Ending the game with a total of 12 steals, Richardson leading with 4 and four others following with 2 each. With all the added hard work, the boys were barely unable to reach the success in this game.
