Michael Atencio, 113 lb. weight class, brought home the Santa Fe League Tournament Championship held last Thursday at Swink and along with his teammates claimed the fifth-place spot in the league. Atencio, now 21-1 on the season, didnít wrestle past the second period in any of his matches with three falls and a forfeit in claiming the gold.

In the 120-lb. weight class, Riley Prichard won the silver medal with a first-round bye, a first period fall, and a loss by fall. Jonah Statezny at 182 lbs. also won a silver medal in a small bracket. He lost a pair of falls in a best of three competition with the other wrestler in the class.

Rocky Ford, well on the way to another state title, more than doubled the nearest competitor, host school Swink, scoring 192 team points. Rye had 62.5 team points.
