The Rye High School Girl’s track team finished third in the Santa Fe League Meet held at John Mall in Walsenburg last Monday a scant six points out of a tie for the top spot. The RHS Boys’ team finished in 4th place in the 10 team meet.

Kylie Baudino collected three gold medals. She set a season’s best 400 meter to win the gold in a time of 1:03.59. She also won the gold in the 200 meters in a time of 29.67. Audrey Himmelberg, Jami Ortiz, Hannah Ambler, and Baudino claimed the gold in the 4X400 meter relay with a time of 4:42.30.

Felicity Phillips collected a pair of gold medals winning the shot put with a toss of 31’7” and also winning the discus with a throw of 89’11”. Madison Gookin won the silver in the disc with a throw of 86’8”.
