About two years ago at this time, I wrote a Letter to the Editor on the Colorado caucus system. Well, here I go again. On March 7th, my wife and I attended this year's caucus. Upon registration, an administrator introduced my wife to her partner and stated something to the effect that my wife would be assisting with the conduct of the meeting this evening. I could say I was surprised to hear that, but after 45 years of marriage, I wasn't she's always been there when duty calls. Anyway, she had done her homework and the caucus went smoothly, satisfying all the requirements. Attendance didn't break any records and any volunteering was at a minimum. My wife got herself elected as co-chairman with another gentleman and delegates were selected for the forthcoming County Assembly of which my wife was one. The County Assembly was held in Pueblo on March 17th. My wife was very excited and impressed with the assembly process and stated she was moving on to the State Assembly. Let me pause here: I know this sounds like a power grab on my wife's part, but not to take anything away from her grit
