The Rye High School Track Team attended the 18 school Thunder-Storm Invitational held at CSU-Pueblo and hosted by Pueblo West last weekend and posted seven season best marks in the tough field of mostly larger schools.

Although it was not a season best performance the girls’ 4X800 meter relay team finished second in the meet with a time of 11:46.73. The team was composed of Emma Lesser, Faith Paquette, Makayla Rodriguez, and Jolee Ortiz.

The 4X400 meter relay team placed 6th with a time of 4:40.18. Audrey Himmelburg, Ortiz, Katie Richardson, and Kylie Baudino made up that foursome.

Baudino placed 4th in the 400-meter dash with a season best time of 29.08.
