Welcome Thunderbolt baseball fans. Today we are here to honor Ryes three state championship baseball teams. After the initial state championship in 1960 there was a long drought and the baseball program even disbanded for many years. With the help of alumni and community members, the program was reinstated in 2000. 51 years later the T-Bolts achieved a second state championship along with the Perfect Season, and four years later a state championship and the Perfect Season II. This legacy continues with the Thunderbolts being a dominant force each season. It is with great pleasure that we honor the alumni from the 1960, 2011, and 2015 state championships and induct them into the Thunderbolt Wall of Fame.

Wed like to welcome the members of the 1960 Class C State Champion Rye Thunderbolts to the diamond. This team was coached by the late Paul Defoyd. The 1960 T-Bolts had a 7-1 record that year and defeated Peetz 10-9 in the state championship game. Alumni from the 1960 team who are present today include Keith Bailey and Sam Scrivner.
