The Greenhorn Valley Chamber held their monthly meeting on April 18 at the Greenhorn Valley Library and decided they would proceed with the Golf Tournament this year, setting a tentative date for September 15. Dennis Maroney suggested having two sponsors per hole, up to a total of thirty-six sponsors for the event. Previously, sponsorship fees ranged from $50 per hole up to $500 per hole for the larger businesses. President Marcy Freeburg will draft a sponsorship letter and flyer for the tournament. It was agreed that the Chamber should advertise the tournament on the Ace Hardware board starting the beginning of September. Freeburg will update the Hollydot website.

The Board approved payment for an ad regarding the Kids Fishing Derby and Lake Beckwith cleanup scheduled for April 28.

Another important topic was the May 19 Clean-up of Highway 165, which Maroney is handling. There will be a 7:00 a.m. meet-up at the Greenhorn Meadows Park. Maroney spoke with Susan Ingram and she will try to get a group to help with the cleanup. Maroney will notify the State and get the orange vests for the volunteers. A motion was approved to have the Chamber pay up to $200.00 for hotdogs, chips and water for the volunteers. Freeburg will check and see if the Pavilion is available that day.
