The Greenhorn Valley View-May 28, 2008-16 pages-Black and White-75 cents per copy

Rye High School graduated 52 seniors. 1998 alumnus Josh Reineke was the guest speaker. Jadi Crawford and Abby Harder were valedictorians and Danielle Golladay was the salutatorian. RHS counselor, Peggy Jordan presented the scholarships.

Approximately 150 people attended the Colorado City Cemetery Memorial Day ceremony. Boy Scout Troup #59 raised the flag, the Swartwood family singers sang patriotic songs, Boy and Girl Scouts read the names of the people buried there, and Jerry Wright read the names of veterans buried there. Three generations of veterans of the Melchi family were present.

Rye Elementary P. E. teacher, Beth Burns organized the annual fun-filled Field Day for the school, complete with picnic lunch.
