Rye High School graduate and long time Valley resident Sue Moore was returning to her roots as she took over the Rye Elementary School Principal job. Moore brings 24 years of educational experience back to Rye Elementary where she began her career in 1985.

Madelyne L. “Grandma” Thacker passed away June 2, 2009. This well known resident had spent most of her life on the family ranch with her husband, Irvin while also serving as a Girl Scout leader, Birthday Club organizer, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
