There was a full house for the June 12 meeting of the Colorado City Metro District Board of Directors Meeting. Incumbent board members Harry Hochstetler, Justin Hunter, and Terry Kraus were present, as were newly elected board members Robert Cook and Greg Collins. District Manager David Valdez was also present. Carol Stull was absent. Since this was the first meeting following the election, ordinarily the new board members would have been sworn in at this meeting. However, the bylaws require new members to be sworn in within 30 days following the election so they were sworn in on June 5 instead.

New officers were elected to the Board. Terry Kraus is the new President/Chairman of the Board, Harry Hostetler is Treasurer and Greg Collins is Secretary.

It became evident early in the meeting that the new Board takes every item on the agenda seriously. It was moved by Mr. Cook and seconded by Mr. Collins that all minutes from tonight forward include a disclaimer of sorts stating that the minutes are not verbatim, and that an audio or visual record should be consulted for verbatim remarks. The motion carried, and the minutes were approved with the amendment.
