The Rye/Colorado City Saddle Club had their monthly meeting on June 13th. Treasurer, Nan Hassey provided an updated financial report. It was mentioned that the Club made approximately $535.00 from the May 19th Obstacle Challenge. The June 1st Team Sorting entries came up $80.00 short of the $400.00 Cattle fees needed to breakeven. The May 19th fun Obstacle Challenge brought in $100.00 in entry fees. The small increase in the Gymkhana class entry fees has not been an issue and overall the size of the membership has increased from last year. There will be a horse show put on by the Southern Colorado Horse Association (SCHA) on August 11th, 2018. The Club will receive $75.00 for the arena use and all proceeds from the concession. It was discussed that any need for watering the arena would be an extra charge back to the SCHA.

Arena maintenance items consisted of having Les do a monthly arena deep drag and the club will look after the weekly light drags. Assistance is needed in getting propane for the water truck. The one section of the trailer parking area could use a load of road base, but due to the $400 cost it was agreed to leave it as is for now.
