The Third Annual Lake Day was held on a beautiful Lake Beckwith Saturday with over a hundred valley folks taking advantage of the opportunity for fun in the sun.

The fishing derby began the day at 7:30 a.m. with nine fishermen and fisherwomen. When it was all said and done, nine-year-old Kade Kenney not only had the biggest fish he also had the most fish, capturing both prizes. The prizes were presented by Parks and Recreation Director, Josh Briggs.

Nourishment for the early morning contest was provided by the Lionís Club Chuckwagon.

Eight youth and six adults jumped into their kayaks to compete for $40 gift cards from Dickís Sporting Goods provided for the event by San Isabel Electric.
