The Rye High School golf team finished up the month of August with the Hornet Invitational held at Hollydot Golf Course. Johnny Marquez shot an 84 to lead the team, who finished 10th in the 18-team event. Robert Buford shot a 91 for the Thunderbolts while teammate Chance Donlon shot a 96. Bradley Weldon shot a 118.

“The boys keep grinding it out,” shared Head Coach James Buford. “Bradley struggled today off the tee box and didn’t play his best. The others showed some good improvements through their game at times. We will get back to practice next week and prep for the South Invite at Elmwood on Wednesday.
