The Bull Draw Fire continues to be the largest fire in Colorado, now having burned 30, 580 acres. It is currently listed as 60% contained and hopes are that by mid-September if will be controlled. It began on July 29 and was caused by lightning. The fire is located 12 miles NW of Nucla. The last personnel count was 68 fighting the fire, significantly down from over 300 at one point.

The Lake Christine Fire held at 12,588 acres continues to be 90% contained. That fire was human caused about one-mile northwest of Basalt and two have been charged with arson. Total personnel fighting the blaze is 16. It began on July 3. There has been no change in the numbers since last week.

The Cabin Lake fire has grown to nearly 6,000 acres since last week. The fire is 98% contained, and did not grow this week. The fire is 16 miles southeast of Meeker. The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation. Current personnel count is 74, down from 127 one week ago. It began on July 29.
