“Our goals this year aren’t just to go to State. We want to make some noise at State this year,” stated head coach T.J. Blackhurst.

The last two races at Rocky Ford and Alamosa have been relatively flat, but fast with large crowds of runners. Rocky Ford is where Regionals will be this year. “It’s a good opportunity to run with some very good competition as well as the experience of running in large crowds,” Blackurst said.

The Lady T-Bolt runners have been practicing running as a pack with the boys this season, “running as a pack is going to have to be our bread and butter if we are going to win as a team,” said Blackhurst. The girls placed 10th as a team at Alamosa with over 200 runners. Audrey Maroney who is getting used to running at these fast paces came in 21st at 21:13.70; Clarissa Peterson, 82 at 24:04.60; Lindsey Muniz, 91 at 24:29.30; Faith Paquette, 92 at 24:33.60; Lauren Maroney, 126 at 26:00.0; Emily Peterson, 179 at 28:43.70; Jessica Hastings, 195 at 30:27.20 and Christina Kirkland, 212 at 34:18.50.
