The Pueblo Airport is on track for their goal of 10,000 passenger boarding’s this year. Through August that number was at 6,656, a sharp increase over last year.
A Pueblo man was arrested last week in a 30-year old cold case in connection with a rape and murder in Colorado Springs. DNA evidence led to the arrest of 46-year old James Papol, who was 15 at the time of the murder. The victim of that crime was 24-year-old Mary Lynn Vialpando who was found dead in an alley in West Colorado Springs on June 5, 1988.
The Danish National accused of starting the massive Spring Fire has been bound over for trial in Costilla County on 141 counts of first-degree arson.
Ballots for city and county voters will be mailed out October 15. County Clerk, Gilbert “Bo” Ortiz said his office will be sending out about 98,000 mail ballots for the November 6 election.
