Garry MacCormack has recently sold a portion (140 acres) of Stewart Thoroughbreds to Dr. Deanna Jordan, DVM, who has opened her ‘Cross Creek Equine Veterinary Services’ there at Stewart’s and is now set up to care for and also board horses.

MacCormack lived on that property as owner for the past eleven years. In 2013 he built his beautiful home on the 38 acres of the property that he retained for that purpose, saying “I love that particular piece of land, the view of the mountains is awesome.”

MacCormack was born and raised in Denver and graduated from South High School in 1958, He then joined the Army and returned to Rye in 1962 after his service time in the Army was over, he returned to Rye in 1965.

Garry’s parents had bought the phone company in Rye and were running that business. He worked there for the next few years, until meeting and marrying Dayle Thessan (a local Rye girl-going to college at that time) in 1967.

Garry had employment in San Francisco by that time so they made the move to California to live.
