Football Team Has Best Offensive Night of the Season

The T-Bolts started their home game with one goal in mind, to win. Dolores High School didn't have a chance when a pass was intercepted by Riley Prichard during the 1st quarter and then Hayden Palmer, #32 made a touchdown for 6 points with one-minute left in the 1st quarter. Palmer had 9 carries, 45 total rushing yards and 1 touchdown during a home conference game with a final score of 44-0.

The Rye High School football team had its finest offensive night of the season as the rushed for 341 yards and scored six touchdowns against Dolores on the Rye field last Friday night, winning the game 44-0.

Quarterback Bryce Benz ran for 135 yards including a 35-yard scamper for a touchdown on nine carries. Hayden Palmer ran for 45 yards on nine carries and also scored a touchdown. A total of ten ball carriers toted the pigskin during the game in racking up 19 first downs and running a total of 66 plays in comparison to 38 plays for the Bears who had only three first downs the entire evening.

Five of the six touchdowns were on the ground and the sixth was on an interception return by Kreed Rahl. Kicker Kye Neilsen kicked five of six extra points and also kicked a field goal during the contest.
