Dear readers,

Any of you who know me understand my politics run left of center. So right off the bat, I am writing to try to get you to vote for Diane Mitsch Bush to replace Scott Tipton in our 3rd Congressional District. If there is no possibility of that happening, I respect that, and suppose you will stop reading now. For those of you still around, I want you to know that I always voted for Republican Scott McInnis back in the day. McInnis was a champion for the 3rd Congressional district, and always stood up for the Great Sand Dunes, now a national park. I always voted for Ben Nighthorse Campbell, even after he jumped to the Republican Party, because he too worked to create nation distinction for the Sand Dunes and looked out for the Third.

Scott Tipton cannot have my vote because he will not stand up to the energy cartel that wants to explore for fossil fuels near the Sand Dunes. So far that exploration has been put on hold due to a push by Native American groups. Those groups view the Dunes as a sacred place. I believe they are right. Tipton has been quiet on the issue, and silence is consent. Tipton has also been quiet on other environmental retrogrades, even though a pristine environment fuel Colorado tourism spending.
