In her second year as the Head Cheerleading Coach, Nicole Gibbs has tightened up the reins with her squad a little bit.

“I am so aware how expensive cheerleading can be,” stated Gibbs, who cheered, herself, while in school, "so I made it a little easy on the squad last year. They ended up having little or nothing invested and so it was easier to just drop it when schedules got a little tight or the responsibility got a little heavy.”

This year the 11 members of the squad have more personally invested monetarily as well as a heavy time investment and the formula appears to be paying off.

Hannah Bradford, a junior, is captain of this year’s squad. The only senior on the squad, Haley Palmer, and Layla Willis are co-captains. The rest of the squad is composed of Tatum Gibbs, Hailey Houghton, Nalani Oili, Korinne Kiefer, Makena Garcia, Ashlyn Reilly, Jasmine Wilcox, Kenzie Graber. That tallies up to one senior, four juniors, one sophomore, and five freshmen.
