A trio of talented young women and a special 4-H leader of 40+ years were honored at the annual Pueblo County 4-H Achievement Night held October 26th in Pueblo.

The highlight of Achievement Night is the announcement of the 4-H Career Awards and the Leader Hall of Fame inductee. The Career Awards are given to a select few 4-H members nearing the end of their time in 4-H, who have accomplished a diverse set of goals and been model 4-H members. This year, all three recipients were from one club: The Greenhorn Kickers. Joy Denigan, Jessica Hastings and Catie Wolyn have all been active members of the local club since they were in elementary school. Joy Denigan has served as president of the club and has been active in the Dog, Artistic Clothing and Buymanship projects. She has won top honors in the state in Parliamentary Procedure, Fashion Review and Dog Showmanship. Jessica Hastings has held both local and county offices, and has been active in the Rabbit, Market Swine, Archery and Veterinary Science projects.
