Ada Clark, long time Greenhorn Valley resident was honored with a reception on Saturday by family and friends to join her in celebrating her 95th birthday. She said longevity must run in the family, her sister Iva is still living and she is 100 years old and then added, “My brother was almost 98 when he passed away.”

Clark has been very active in the community and church since she and her husband Herb, moved to Rye after their retirement from the State Hospital in Pueblo in 1981. She was the Director of Food Services there at the Hospital and Herb was the Chief Facilities until their retirement and before moving to the Greenhorn Valley.

They lived in Rye for a while and then made the move to Colorado City. Herb passed away a while after they moved to Colorado City.

Ada loves to play golf and is certainly no stranger at the Hollydot Golf Course here in Colorado City. She was still playing golf this past Spring and hopes to get back to it again next Spring.
