Dirk Aissen's D.A.M.M. auto shop is closed, the building sold, and Dirk will be vacated by November 1st. Dirk says " I am sorry to have to leave, I didn't come here and work this hard to build a business just to want to leave it, but family comes first." He and Kirsten will be moving to southern Wisconsin, probably in March of 2019. They will be traveling back and forth between Rye and Wisconsin this winter taking some of their belongings to the new area.

Dirk would like to lay the rumors he has "skipped town" to rest. He commented, " I am still here and will be here for some time getting ready to move. I am not sure how these rumors got started, but anyone can call and ask me questions. Dr. Maureen Kelly and Alan Walker bought the shop and I had to close the business and move out of it, but I am still here."

Asked if he will open another shop in Wisconsin, Dirk says that at this time he is unsure what he will be doing as he is having some medical problems with his hands. He says after numerous MRI's his doctors have told him he probably only has about three years left he can be handling wrenches and working on cars like he has.
