The Greenhorn Valley View-November 11, 2004-12 Pages- Black and White-50 cents per Copy

Brandon Montano, a 2004 Rye High School graduate had finished basic training and A (Basic Engineering Common Corp) school and was about to be stationed on the U.S.S. Nimitz docked in San Diego. The ship was scheduled to travel to Hawaii, Guam, Japan, Australia, and the Philippines.

Construction was underway for the wastewater treatment plant, the renovation of the swimming pool and phase two of the playground equipment in Greenhorn Meadows Park. The approximate cost of the three improvement projects was $2,611,969

Ron Spicer, Commander of VFW Post #7305, Myrna Spicer, President of the Ladies Auxiliary, and Doris Landerway of the VFW were on hand to present Rye Elementary School Librarian, Julie Canterbury with a check to purchase library bookshelves.
