The Rye High School Girl’s Golf Team placed second at the East Invitational Golf Tournament held at the Walking Stick Golf Course last Thursday. This is the sixth, first or second place team finish by the Thunderbolts in as many tournaments.

Michelle Shaffer led the team with a score of 84 which was good for the Silver Medal in the event. Morgan Voss was 9th, shooting a 99 in the 14-team event.

“The girls are practicing hard and gearing up for the next few tournaments at Hollydot,” commented Head Coach Daryl Voss. “Friday is the Pueblo County High Invite and then the Rye Invite and in early May we also have the South Invitational at Elmwood Golf Course in Pueblo.”
