Ten people attended the May 8th, 2019 Rye/Colorado City Saddle Club meeting that was held at the Library. It started off with the April 10th meeting minutes being read by Secretary Kathy Lesser and approved as read. Treasurer Nan Hassey provided a current financial report that included $1,130.00 from Team Sorting clinic registrations, $955.00 in membership dues, $1,698.00 from sponsorships and $298.00 from the Schwan’s Cares fundraiser. Recent Sponsorships received were from Big R and Rustler Equipment. Ty Jordan made mention of a big compliment received from Brian Rustler of Rustler Equipment who was really impressed with how the Royalty girls presented themselves when asking for a Sponsorship. Maddie Armstrong, Royalty Coordinator said that the Royalty girls will be sending out thank you notes to the Royalty Sponsors. Ty Jordan also mentioned that Rustler Equipment has offered the club use of equipment under specific operator conditions. Under the old business, President Gay Christie said that the work on the awning for the announcer’s booth and the four loads of road base will be done when weather permitting. She will look after the concession booth clean up this week and have it ready for the clinic on the 18th.
