Connor Voss, Rye High School senior, has been selected as a recipient of the Boettcher Foundation Scholarship.

Boettcher Scholarships recognize Colorado’s top students by providing them with the funds to attain an excellent in-state education and access to additional opportunities to enrich their time in college and beyond.

Voss, the Rye High School class Valedictorian, was one of seven RHS students who applied for the scholarship, the Valedictorian and two other classmates made it to the semi-finals. One hundred students made it to the finals, the last step before the 42 awarded scholarships.

“The Boettcher Scholarship is an investment in our state’s future gamechangers. It not only recognizes their past achievements bur also their future impact on the State of Colorado," said Katie Kramer, President-CEO of the Boettcher Foundation.

Established in 1952, the Boettcher Scholarship program awards 42 scholarships each year and has established a network of more than 2,400 Boettcher Scholars. Approximately 1,500 graduating high school seniors, annually, apply for the scholarship.

“There are four or five people in my senior class that I feel deserved the scholarship as much as I did,” shared Voss. “I don’t want people to remember I won the Boettcher Scholarship; I want people to remember that someone from Rye High School won the Boettcher Scholarship.
