The Colorado State 2A Girls’ golf tournament was cut in half because of 37-degree weather with snow, drizzle and wind on the second scheduled day of the tournament leaving the Rye High School Girls’ team in 6th place out of 16 teams.

“It would have been nice to play the second day because I know we would have improved our position,” commented Head Coach Daryl Voss. “I feel bad for the three Seniors since this was the last high school tournament, they will play in.”

Out of the 84 players that qualified for state Rachel Shaffer ended up in 14th place, Emiree Sutton 23rd place, Morgan Voss 38th place, and Alexis Cortez 55th place.
