Pueblo County School District 70 Board Meeting Approves RHS Trip

The Rye High School TSA Trip to the National Competition in National Harbor, Maryland from June 18 through July 2, 2019 was approved by the Pueblo County School District 70 Board at their meeting held on June 4, 2019.

Pueblo County School District 70 received the Early Literacy Grant in the amount of $9,600.00 and the 2019 Colorado Student Re-engagement Grant in the amount of $1,940,000.00. Pleasant View Middle School received a grant in the amount of $1,000.00 from Target and North Mesa Elementary received a donation of $15,064.00 from Colorado Bank and Trust.

Liberty Point Elementary School teachers and support staff were presented with several Student Services Hero Certificates for their outstanding actions when a kindergarten student had something lodged in her throat. The teachers and staff were finally able to dislodge the object in the studentís throat and accompanied the student to the emergency room and stayed with the studentís parents. President Tony Montoya stated that this could have had a very different outcome and reminded everyone that our teachers in District 70 not only teach and educate our students but also take very good care of our children.
