Pueblo, CO: Pueblo County Sheriff’s Deputies seized approximately 300 marijuana plants worth an estimated street value of $150,000 after finding an illegal marijuana grow operation in the backyard of a residence in a Pueblo County mobile home park.

Deputies went to the home in the 5000 block of Red Creek Springs Road earlier today after a citizen reported a possible illegal marijuana grow at the residence. Deputies responded to the home and saw what appeared to be marijuana plants growing in plastic bins in the backyard of the home. The bins were visible from the street.

The residents initially were not at home but arrived a short time later and allowed deputies to see the plants. Two of the residents told Deputies they had a medical marijuana license permitting the grow. State law allows only 12 marijuana plants per household. Deputies discovered 309 immature marijuana plants growing in plastic drinking cups that were placed in the plastic bins in the backyard of the home. The residents also allowed deputies into the home, but no other marijuana plants were found.
