The fifth graphic novel (comic book), featuring super-hero Ferrokin created by Colorado City’s Jennifer Swartwood, will be released in December of this year. The novel, entitled Ferrokin-Nevermore (Part 1) is in final editing stages.

The series will take a different leaning from the first four in the series entitled Ferrokin-Origin according to Swartwood, who will be hosted at a book signing on July 13th at Valley Market from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Since her first release in 2015, Swartwood creates one new novel a year. Swartwood estimates that each novel takes between 600-700 hours to complete and finalize.

Her latest plot occurs three weeks after the end of the last series. Ferrokin is recovering from injuries. A serial killer residing in the same community is pursued by a detective who will stop at nothing to bring the killer to justice. In addition, a new character emerges who may end up being a superhero in their own right.

Like her novels, Swartwood also changes. In the last year she has acquired her certification to be a personal trainer and, in the process, has gotten healthier herself.
