Alex Newman, co-author of the book entitled, Crimes of the Educators (2015), will be speaking in the Ryals Room (4th floor) at the Pueblo County Rawlings Public Library on Thursday, August 1st, beginning with a meet and greet at 6:30 p.m.

The presentation will focus on how the educational system is being used to reshape core values; the sexualizing of children even as early as K-5; and the deliberate dumbing down of academic skills. Finally, Newman will focus on how to protect our children and grandchildren from this threat to faith, family and ultimately, freedom.

Miami born Newman has spent much time in deep research for the last ten years and co-authored the book with Samuel L. Blumenfeld, who lectured around the world before his death in 2015. Both Newman and Blumenfeld are deeply concerned with the state of education today.

The current direction of education, Newman feels, encourages socialism, and works to rid the school system of any vestiges of Christianity and individual liberty.

“We should have never trusted government with education to begin with,” opines Newman. “Since government became part of the educational picture the number of illiterates has risen dramatically and our place in the world continues to slide.”

“John Dewey wanted to use education to create a new social order,” stated Newman. “The current progressive curriculum works to dumb down education because a less educated populous, not trained in critical thinking, is easier to control.”
