Due to a 4.5 million shortfall, School District 70 was making changes to bus routes. Nine permanent bus driver positions were being cut. There would be ten routes in the Greenhorn Valley instead of the previous fifteen. Rules for student transportation also changed. When a student is transported home and no adult is present, they will be transported back to the school or the bus garage.

Cathy Mullens, retired lawyer and prosecutor, was displaying her photos at The Rye Gallery. Wildlife was the subject of most of Cathy’s photos.

Kenny Peterson, Matt Minjarez, and Jeremiah Lopez were invited to attend the Down Under Bowl in Surfer’s Paradise on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. The Down Under Bowl is an annual event, with teams made up of athletes from different states within the U.S. and Australia.

The Colorado City Sea Turtles Swim Team finished well at state. Four swimmers from the team of 25 had qualified for the state meet: Brady Dickerson, Bryna Burns, Caleb Phipps, and Kristy Davenport. The Sea Turtles trained at the Southpark pool throughout the summer season with Samantha Davenport as coach.
