Volunteers for the “Dismiss Polis” campaign are gathering signatures in the Colorado City/Rye area to recall the current Colorado Governor, Jared Polis. The petition started by a Sterling Colorado businessman focuses on four areas: SB 19-042 National Popular Vote; SB 19-181 Gas and Oil Reforms voters already voted against; HB19-1032 Mandated human sexuality education; HB 19-1177 Red Flag bypassing due process.

The non-partisan effort needs to turn in 631,000 verified signatures to the Colorado Secretary of State by September 6. The current petition began on July 8. The local volunteers are at the Colorado City Library several days a week, Hollydot Golf Course, in front of the Colorado City Professional Building and other places. Look for their bright yellow shirts.

For additional information on the recall Google “Rocky Mountain Heist” for an informative documentary.
